Catherine's Poem

By Wesley Bullen

No pearly gates, or streets of gold,
Angelic choirs,
Or saints of old,
No, I am not there.

Go out into the sun,
The wind and the rain,
The meadows and the garden flowers.
I’ll be there.

Do not weep, just grasp each other’s hand.
Remember all past joy,
The laughter and the song,
I’ll be there.

Do not be sad,
Just carry on,
Do what I would have liked to see you do.
Remember, I will be there to help you journey on.
Yes, I’ll be there

With every deed that needs a helping hand.
Some lonely heart,
Just understand
That I’ll be there
